Interests
My interests, from an early age,
included ALL of the sciences,
And a longing desire
and yearning for anything
having to do with anchient Egypt.
ESPECIALLY the pyramids!
The color blue makes me say awww,and orange makes me smile.
And these are a few of my favorite things,
(hmmmmmm sounds like a song,
now doesn't it??? hehehe!!!)
Rainbows, Poetry, Roses, Autumn, Snowflakes,Thunderstorms,
candles, fireplaces,
cooking over logs in the woods,
waterfalls, lighthouses, caverns,
the mountains, weeping willow trees, sculptures, paintings, photography,
Air Balloons, old cemeteries, rocks,
(hehehe, yeah I know unusual,
BUUUT hey, they are sooo interesting!!!)
dark chocolate, nationality foods,
(especially Italian, Greek, Mexican,
Chinese, Serbian, and French),
hard back books, (why? Well, to me,
there is something so authentic
and pleasing, about the touch and feel
of holding and reading a hardback book,
especially novels.
However, when it comes to text books,
and "read one time only" books,
paperback reigns!!!)
aaaannnnd MUSIC, ....... music
and did I say music!
Music is the beat of my heart,
and the rhythm of my soul!!!
Did you know that when you sing,
it is like praying twice???

I cannot begin to tell you what that movie does to me!!! everything from the plot, the "impossible" romance, the time travel, and the music score, of the great, Rachmaninov! THIS soundtrack OMG~~~~~~~~!!!
~~~haunting, and moving, takes me somewhere else,
I weep yet, I feel at home!!!
Ooooh, to have a love like that!!!
No barriers not EVEN time,
can prevent the magnetism, of two spirits, miraculously,
drawn together into a lover's symphony.
Not just a fantasy,
VERY rare, but VERY REAL!
There ARE those,
who could tell their OWN stories...
I believe that with all that I am!!!
I NEED to believe that!!!
Convienced, not so long ago,
I was one of them.
I find comfort, in knowing...THIS:...
"True "LOVE" never dies".
More precious than gold or any jewel,
LOVE is the ONLY thing we take with us,
into ETERNITY.
Find below in the video box player, the entire movie;
~~~~SOMEWHERE IN TIME~~~~

Favorite TV Shows
I do not watch that much TV, so when I do, whatever I choose, ususally has some purpose,
even if it means I need a good laugh.
I prefer The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, DIY, The Learning Channel, C-Span, FOX sports, & ESPN,
(I love football, pro and college level, especially My Steelers!!!, Ohio State, Pitt, Penn State, and WVU.
I also enjoy watching baseball, and soccer.
I also watch some PBS, (especially the concert reunions, and speciality programs.
On Animal Planet, I LOVE Animal X because of the
all of the mystery surrounding the "sightings".
I believe the possibilities are endless of some of the supposed mythical creatures actually existing.
For example The Loch Ness Monster, The Thunderbirds, Yeti, The Abominable Snowman etc.
Then some of my favorite programs are,
LOST, American Idol, House, Monk, Psych, CSI, Grey's Anatomy, The Closer, The 4400, and ER
Then for a good laugh, there is Boston Legal, Samantha Who,
and Desperate Housewives.
I enjoy Jeopardy and Wheel Of Fortune!
When I watch talk, I prefer Letterman's dry sense of humor.
For older classic shows,
I like, Raymond, Cheers, The Odd Couple,
and anything Cosby!
and I love Sci Fi, IF it is done really well,
And not just blood and gore.
My all time favorite is, the original series, of Star Trek.
I also liked X-Files, Highlander, Second Wave, and Earth Final Conflict, and Quantum Leap!
And the really older ones, Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits.
Favorite Books
Well, I thoroughly enjoy reading,
so I'll try to be as basic as I am able.
First and foremost, The Holy Bible,
especially the books of Psalms, Proverbs,
and Jeremiah.
In the New Testament, James and Revelations.
But OK "other Books",
First I CRAVE knowledge, and read frequently,
just to learn something new.
(OK, haha,
so maybe sometimes it is JUST an "owners manual"
but what the heck, somebody has to do it!)
I truly enjoy studying
nationality cookbooks.
Especially Italian, (my heritage),
Greek, Mexican, French, and Chinese.
I enjoy "Do It Yourself" books,
and topics on
traveling, crafts, poetry anthologies,
art and photography collections.
(my favorite artist is Thomas Kinkade)
I read medical journals,
on both homeopathy and standard medicine.
I prefer "alternative" medicine,
in other words preventative approach
to becoming well and staying healthy.
Anyway, a very favorite book is:
written by Rick Warren,
" A Purpose Driven Life".
An incredible plan,
that has changed so many lives,
for the better.
And it has actually saved
at least one life.
(ask me)
And would you believe,
One of my favorite poets,
in today's world,
is a thirteen year old boy,
by the name of Mattie JT Stepanek,
(He is, sorry, very saddly, "WAS",
an amazing person.
I love all of his books
but I guess one of my favorites is,
"Reflections Of A Peacemaker".
And since I mentioned poetry,
Another favorite of mine is,
"The Prophet" by Kahlil Gibran.
I LOVE his artwork, as well as his poetry.
And another favorite poet of mine is,
Leonard Nimoy,
(and Ok hahaha, yes,
I loved him as Spock ALSO)
but his poetry is amazing!
For favorite types of books,
I prefer non fiction, but for fiction action/ mystery, and I enjoy most of the classics,
such as Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre,
David Copperfield, Moby Dick,
Great Expectations, Oliver Twist,
The Tale of Two Cities, A Christmas Carol,
The Lost World, and The Time Machine.
So among those books are I guess,
some of my favorite classic authors.
And although I prefer non fiction,
I LOVE Science Fiction,
ONLY if it is believable, and written really well.
My favorite science fiction style,.......
TIME TRAVEL!!!
Two of my favorite literary genre of reading are
Historical and Non fictional books.
(ONE of my hobbies, ... collecting biographies),
But for me a book is a plus,
IF it is a story of adventure,
and or mystery.
Some of my favorites are:
The Raft,(by Robert Trumbull) PT 109 (JFK),
Kon Tiki (by Thor Heyerdahl)
Thirteen Days (by Robert F Kennedy),
The Notebook, Dear John, & Three Weeks With My Brother (those three, by one of my favorite authors,
Nickolas Sparks),
and Serpico (by Peter Maas)
One thing I am continually intrigued by,
and drawn to,
are any books written on conspiracy theories,
especially about the JFK assassination.
I am now reading a book called,
"Secrets In The Fields".
It's about crop circles.
by Freddy Silvia
There are so many others,
I will add them another time.

We are here in "AN UNLIKELY PLACE",
as my Dear Friend Joanie said,
(thanXXXX Joanie!)
for so many various reasons,
Maybe because,
"We are trying to find something
that we have lost,
or to rid ourselves of something
that we have found" ,
as my Dear Friend Mario has said,
(Grazie Mario...XXXX!).
But for whatever the reasons are,
we ARE HERE...
....and we are HERE by CHOICE!!!
NO ONE has forced us to be here....
saddly this is contrary to what
a "former" friend has said,
....HE will of course go nameless....LOL!
Hi5 is a very small site
in comparison
to the "BIG guys"!!!
But BECAUSE of it's smaller size,
we have GREATER opportunities,
to REALLY get to know one another!
With this LAST SCARE
of the chance,
that hi5 could shut down,
Some of us, including myself,
realized we could loose
a connection to
a "would be friend",
maybe someone we
"PLANNED" on
REALLY getting to know better,
but kept putting it off!
PEOPLE........
This IS MAGIC!!!
Do you realize, 50 years ago,
THIS would have been called,
"SCIENCE FICTION"!!!
IF we use this GIFT wisely,
this "END Of THE RAINBOW"
pot of gold POSSIBILITY,
we will find,
that EACH and EVERY one of us,
underneath
the "skins of our profiles"
beats the hearts of
REAL living,
breathing people,
with a REAL lives!
We come from every walk in life,
every race, color and creed!
WE are a RAINBOW!!!
And so while we are here,
please let us accept each other,
STOP prolonging getting to know
those we would "like to",
and ENJOY
ALL of our differences!!!
AND ALWAYS, ALWAYS
treat each other with,
KINDNESS, RESPECT and DIGNITY!!!
And with THAT,
as long as we are STILL here,
I dedicate this song,
to each and EVERY ONE of YOU,
my DEAR FRIENDS
and "FRIENDS to BE"!
XXXXOOOO :)

sonhou tudo, conquistou tudo...
Todos nós sonhamos,
em quimeras desmedidas...
e em cada sonho erguido,
no desterro da vitória,
mais mil quimeras levantamos, abençoamos,
e mais mil cantamos a uma só vos.
é no fruto proibido,
da mulher mistério,
ela passa na solidão da noite,
ela nos faz tremer sem perceber,
que nos faz ansear,
que nos faz apaixonar,
que nos faz paralisar ao som dos seus passos,
a noite escurece...
